GW Plastics Advanced Molding Technology Team comprises sales, marketing and engineering personnel focused on developing applications that can utilize molding process technologies, such as robotic assisted manufacturing, multi-shot molding, automated insert molding and cavity pressure molding to reduce costs and improve quality. The primary objective of the Advanced Molding Technology Team is to assist customers in reducing total product costs and improve quality through the utilization of these state-of-the-art processing technologies.

GW Plastics Advanced Molding Technology Team assists customers from product engineering, to material selection, to processing method, to component assembly. Typical is this automotive part made from Rynite® PET 940. The housing is manufactured using a Two Shot Molding process and has a thermoplastic elastomer gasket. The cover for the assembly is manufactured with the automated insert molding process and the metal contacts are tested for electrical conductivity and arching during the molding process.
