Fred Riehl currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for GW Plastics.
A graduate of Princeton University with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Riehl started his career with Union Carbide in its engineered polymers business. He later worked in plastics-related executive roles for General Electric and Albany International.
In 1983, Riehl led the successful buyout of GW Plastics from Standard Oil of Ohio.
A Plastics Pioneer, Riehl has been involved in the plastics industry for over 60 years. He has received recognition for his work in advanced manufacturing and skilled job creation from five Vermont Governors.
